“A Modest World” goes in search of these anonymous adventurers of the daily life, who blow up our official aesthetic codes and transform insignificant things into works of art. Beyond classifications, is the last attempt for human beings to resist the uniformity imposed by the leisure society: each person expresses their pain, their joy, their obsessions, as they will with the means they have. The film tackles several practices of modest art with the common desire to demonstrate its universality and its vitality, finally far from all schools and classification.
