In December 1914, German, English and French soldiers came out of hiding in their trenches and fraternised with the enemy.
This behaviour was without doubt marginal, but it did show something infinately more real regarding the state of mind of the soldiers, than what we were used to seeing. Following these events, we go back to World War One and looks at it from a new angle ; that of the daily lives and feelings of the soldiers concerned.
