In June 1946 Michel Sima, sculptor and photographer, met with Picasso in Antibes.
On Picasso’s request, Sima photographed his work in progress in the workshop he’d found for him at Grimaldi Palace, on a daily basis.
The work of both these artists, the human experience and their friendship eventually resulted in the creation of the Picasso Museum.
The museum in Antibes has recently been refurbished and the works of art returned to their birthplace, providing the opportunity for a journey from the present to the past.
