Nowadays flushing “human waste” away translates into millions of tons of water waste which has a negative impact on the environment, including water pollution.
On another hand, in many parts of the world, people do not have access to safe and hygienic toilets, which can spread diseases. These diseases are a leading cause of morbidity and mortality.
It has become obvious that we need to make significant changes in how we handle, manage and even talk about human waste. We need a “toilet revolution".
