For 37 years, first on foot, by bike and then motorcycle, He Fu Quang has been travelling the back roads of Sichuan bringing wherever he goes “culture and cinema,” as he says.
Offered by the Chinese government, the films are now sent via satellite from Beijing to Chengdu where He Fu Quang, known as “He Film”, will get them and take them on his hard drives. As he arrives in a village or an isolated farm in the bamboo forest, he displays a large screen and, at night, the show starts. China of the countryside and of the city in front of the cinema screen…
